PTV01: The Measure of a Man

Take a listen to our first episode of PTV, a new series of content we will be releasing which focuses on individual episodes of television series. We chose to dip our feet in this week by looking at a highly philosophical episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Season 2, Episode 9, ‘The Measure of a Man’ tells the story of Data as he fights for his own right to personhood and choice. This episode is freely available on Netflix and leads us to talk about things such as what makes a person a person, how we ought to treat others and how we fail to treat others properly when we dehumanize them, and more.

We hope you enjoy this episode as well as this new line of content. Don’t worry – we’ll still be releasing content on movies as before!
